Two of the hardest things for my clients are setting boundaries and managing their emotional reactions. In their work lives, they have control. They sometimes work for themselves, OR they are the managers or CEOs of a company. It’s important to remember that we don’t control someone else’s responses and emotional health.
Today I wanted to speak on getting to a place where we’re comfortable with our emotions, especially those that we’ve been conditioned to think are “negative” emotions. It’s all about feeling, befriending, and learning these emotions to understand what to do with them.
My clients struggle in these areas, especially if they’re not getting their needs met in their daily lives.
Hope is not all lost, though!
The most important thing to learn is how to check your reactivity and response to people, places, and things. If they have an extreme emotional reaction to the situation, it is likely triggering old unhealed stuff. That’s why it’s so important to do a deep dive into the emotions to truly feel, flow and navigate through them to change and to grow.
Peek on how we can look within ourselves and take a closer and more objective look at our emotions in the video below and invite you schedule a FREE call to continue the conversation today
